Kenneth Chenault started his career as an associate at the law firm Rogers & Wells in 1977. Later, Chenault became the chairman and MD of venture capital firm General Catalyst Partners. The following year, Chenault was invited by Wake Forest University and Northeastern University to give the commencement speech. Kathryns mother, Elaine Hancock, and her stepfather, Victor Hancock, also were Howard alumni, and Victor was a top graduate from the School of Dentistry. Together they are the parents of two children, Kevin Chenault, and Kenneth Jr. Chenault. from the NYU School of Law. Later, Jordan worked with the NAACP, Southern Regional Council, Voter Education Project, United Negro College Fund and National Urban League. Dr Chenault is a very professional and caring neurologist.
