Ive owned the car for about 20 months. Highly don't recommend it. again but only to receive the same exact Crap on the work orders. I have had it in to the shop 3 times now. It had to be towed while still running. This has taken place many times, and if not noticed can cause a serious accident. It all started after I took it in for a vehicle recall and they said they fixed it. AutoZone ran a diagnostic, said it was all dealership codes, that have lead me here. Will update this post when fixed. This vehicle isn't safe but because my VIN number doesn't fall in the recalls they tell me my car is 100% safe and reliable.. When driving, accelerating to get onto highways, at stop signs, reversing than going into drive, the car puts itself in neutral, stalls, catches a gear then flings forward. When I tried to make left turn the battery voltage immediately dropped down drastically to point or cutoff and nearly caused a collision. These problems first appeared approximately 1 month ago. The dealership called and said Chrysler suggested replacing the "transmission control module" and that they had replaced that. NO FORUM HOMEPAGES. The vehicle was not yet repaired. While driving, the vehicles transmission had jerking movements that made it difficult to complete this task. I went back to the car. I brought my car into the shop on Friday February 2, because I had experienced on 2 separate occasions a stall. We would have taken it into the dealership as a precaution, but service appts are weeks out. Luckily I have never been on the highway when said issue has happened. The button on the start button doesn't come off (even though some manuals says it does). Vehicle started having issues starting, the vehicle would not start once the start button was pushed. After a few minutes I was able to put the car into park and then start it again. I have spoke to the same lady from Chrysler several times and she tells me the same thing every time, that she will contact the dealership to make sure they are fixing my car and once it is fixed she will review my case and make a decision. My dash is lit up like Christmas, with Transmission errors, Parking Brake error and yet, when I check the Chrysler site, it still says I have a healthy vehicle. They wouldnt be putting in a new instrument panel for a stop/ start button . Waited nearly 3 hours for a the tow! A little while later of trying to start up, the tow truck happened to start it up by pressing on the gas pedal after turning it on. The driver did push the e-shifter all the way to Park but the e-shifter is actually in Reverse, however the IC or software controlling messaging/information must be corrupt..However since the transmission is actually in Reverse, the 8.4 radio screen would trigger the rear view camera and the screen would initiate a rear view . On Tuesday 7/31/18, as I was slowing down to turn onto a neighborhood street, the electronic stability control active warning light came on, a warning that lane assist was unavailable flashed on the dashboard, and the blind spot sensors on both side mirrors turned on with a warning message that the blind spot assistance was unavailable. The reason owners with this problem have been injured or damage to their vehicle occurred, is due to the fact even though the e-shifter is in Reverse, a software a glitch takes place, or IC circuit fails or is corrupt. As others have said though, you will need to clear the codes because the vehicle computer system is interconnected to ensure safe operation and will need to be purged (so to speak) of bad data from the problem. Despite the article from May 2019 pertaining to this same exact issue, they said I didn't have a recall on my car. My question is has anyone else had this problem?
